    Angry Birds is an application for the iOS, webOS, Android and Maemo mobile operating systems. It was released by Rovio Mobile and made in Helsinki, Finland. The objective of the game is to eliminate pigs and destroy their buildings and structures at the same time. This is done by the birds launching themselves out of a giant slingshot and hitting the pigs' various constructs, henceforth eliminating them. Each level allots the player a certain number of birds, which must be used in the order provided.

    There are currently eight different styles of playable birds, shown in the order they are first presented to the player.

    Each bird has a different ability, such as being able to boomerang back on itself, or exploding, these abilities are activated by tapping the screen while the bird is flying.

    In all versions of Angry Birds combined, there are a grand total of 360 levels in Angry Birds, 315 in the original game, and 330 in Angry Birds Seasons. These levels are grouped into "episodes", which consist of one to three Themes each. In different episodes, the pigs try to find new ways to escape with the eggs.

    1. Poached Eggs, the pigs simply steal the eggs and attempt to escape. Contains 63 levels, which must be conquered before any of the other episodes may be played.
    2. Mighty Hoax, the pigs steal the eggs and use a cut-out of the King to distract the birds while they escape. Contains 42 levels.
    3. Danger Above, the pigs steal the eggs and escape on board a number of makeshift aircraft. Contains 45 levels.
    4. The Big Setup, the pigs imprison the birds in a cage to prevent their defeat after stealing the eggs. However, Big brother red bird is still loose and frees the boomerang bird and they both fight back. Contains 45 levels.
    5. Ham 'Em High, the pigs, armed with a lasso, lassos the eggs out of the bird's nest, and takes them to the wild west. Contains 45 levels.
    6. Mine and Dine, the pigs steal the eggs a 6th time and attempt to hid underground, only to find the birds are hot on their tails and have gotten beaten up. 45 levels maximum
    7. Birdday Party, the birds find that the pigs have taken their eggs for the seventh time plus a piece of their cake. they pursue them through a birthday world and despite king pig not showing up in the last level, the birds still get their eggs back. 15 levels maximum
    8. Surf and Turf, The pigs steal the eggs using balloons when the birds are not looking, enraged they chase the pigs through a tropical island and by the time a storm has hit full peak, the birds have bashed the king pig and retrieved their eggs. 45 levels maximum(30 coming soon in the classic game).

    In addition to these episodes. The currently available Special editions provide the following episodes:

    1. Trick or Treat, the first Halloween-themed episode, shows the pigs scaring the birds, distracting them from the eggs, which allow the pigs an easy opportunity to swipe them. Contains 45 levels.
    2. Season's Greedings, the the first christmas themed episode. It does not show an episode introduction cutscene, although the basic plot remains the same. Has the form of an advent calendar that releases one new level each day from December 1st to 25th.
    3. Hogs and Kisses, the Valentines' Day episode, once again does not show an intro, but it is explained that the pigs steal an egg with a bow on it, and the birds attempt to retrieve it so they can pair it with an egg wearing a baseball cap. Contains 18 levels.
    4. Go Green, Get Lucky, the St. Patrick's Day themed episode, once again lacks an introduction sequence, but it is stated that the pigs have once again taken the eggs. Contains 18 levels. Note: the events of this episode occured just before the release of angry birds rio.
    5. Easter Eggs, the easter themed episode, without an intro it shows the pigs tried to fool the birds with fake painted eggs. Contains 18 levels.
    6. Summer Pignic, the first summer solstice themed episode showing the pigs replace the eggs in the birds' nest with picnic foods. Contains 30 levels
    7. Moon Festival (or mooncake festival), the first china themed episode, the pigs steal the eggs while the birds are looking at the moon. Contains 30 levels
    8. Ham'o'ween, the second halloween episode, globe bird makes his debut in this episode and the pigs just get tricks instead of treats due to stealing the birds' eggs.
    9. Wreck the Halls, the second christmas themed episode, the king pig disguises himself as santa claus just to give out presents.(which doesn't look serious).
    10. Year of the Dragon, the new year themed episode the pigs use a lanterned designed like a king pig to scare the birds distracting them so they could get the eggs.
    11. Cherry Blossom, the spring themed episode, the birds spot the pigs with their eggs on a picnic, and bash them. Note: the events of this episode occured just before the release of angry birds space.
    12. Piglantis, the second summer solstice themed episode, an octopig stelas the birds eggs to give to the pigs who we're stranded on a far away island. The birds find using the water to get to the island really useful and bash the pigs.

    There are also Golden Eggs scattered throughout the game, which unlock hidden levels when collected.

    Other Versions in the Series Of Angry Birds

    Angry Birds Seasons :(look above) an app in which the birds chase the pigs through the seasons.

    Angry Birds Rio : The Birds get captured, caged and shipped to rio where they meet the protagonists of the movie Blu and Jewel, free birds from the smugglers, and bash nigel, Mauro and the Marmosets.

    Angry Birds Friends : facebook people fling the birds through 3 levels from the classic game and weekly tournaments, it also includes Golden Eggs levels

    Angry Birds Space : the pigs adapt to life in space and steal the birds' eggs again. 6 of the flock (Red Bird, 3 Blue Birds, Bomb, Terence, Yellow Bird, and Orange Bird) follow them into space via a wormhole where they 1. gain super abilities, 2. meet the Ice Bird, and 3. battle the enormous Fat Pig.
