Angry Birds Space

Angry Birds Space is a upcoming game to the fourth installment to the Angry Birds series. The release date is March 22nd. It was first announced on the Angry Birds Facebook page, and later on the Yahoo! Games website.

A site was launched on February 17th, 2012 for the game at: www.angrybirds.com/space

The page was updated on 2/27/12 with an official announcement, a new wallpaper and background image showing a spaced-out Bird similar to the Yellow Bird (later identified as the prevoiusly described "lazer bird"), the Discovery teaser trailer, the full announcement and updated FAQs (see below for all).

Q: What is Angry Birds Space? A: Angry Birds Space is a brand new game by Rovio Entertainment, creator of the global phenomenon Angry Birds.

Who Are They?

On 2/17/12, the Angry Birds Facebook page added a photo gallery called "Who are they?' and included images of the Angry Birds Space characters in metal canisters. The same images appeared on the Angry Birds Google+ page, but the image names on this site gave insight into the identity of the birds in the canisters.

Update: On 2/27/12 the image for "lazerb" was updated and the canister now appears open.

Pigs in Space

The Bad Piggies will be in the game, as the background image of the Rovio Twitter page is an alternate version of the Angry Birds Space imagery seen on www.angrybirds.com/space and includes a pig silhouetted on the far right.

Angry Birds Space: Discovery

On 2/24/12, Rovio released a second video trailer on their Youtube channel using modified NASA footage. The video states that there will be an official announcement for the game on 3/8/12 and reiterates that it will be available for download on 3/22/12. This video was also featured on the Facebook page of Angry Birds. thumb|left|300px

Samsung Galaxy Note

A video was released on 2/27/12 on the Samsung Mobile Youtube channel staing that Angry Birds Space will be "launching with Samsung GALAXY Note."
