- — Commonwealth Toys, website slogan[1]
Commonwealth Toy and Novelty Company (simply known as Commonwealth Toys or Commonwealth) is an American retail merchandise production company that was founded in 1934.[2] They have been the main producer of Angry Birds merchandise from late 2010, to mid 2017.
Their plush toys were made in the sizes known as Backpack Clip, 4", 5", 8", 12", 16" and 24". Good Stuff Toys and Whitehouse Leisure distributed them for non-retail use in the US and UK in exclusive size's such as 6.5" and 10". Many of their plush toys can be seen in Rovio corporate headquarters videos at the time and in present day. Some were re-released in 2016 exclusively for sale on Commonwealth's website, alongside some older stock.[citation needed]
In 2022, they'll be assisting Mighty Mojo in remaking the classic plush line by manufacturing the plushies and tags and allowing Mighty Mojo to distribute them.[3]
