They are the third strongest pig variety in the game, and serve as the chief enemy in the first set of levels in each theme. They also serve as protectors to the King Pig. Helmet Pigs are very much alike to Mustache Pigs in game ways, not actual looks. They have bosses: Herr Helmet, Hovering Helmet, Hardhat Hidalgo, Billy the Pig, and Cave Explorer. Also, those bosses are achievements. The Helmet Pig first appears in Poached Eggs Theme 1-21
Trivia
- Helmet Pig and Postman Pig are the only pigs that don't display their ears.
- Along with the other Pigs, the design for Helmet Pigs have changed in theAngry Birds Chrome Beta, they have shinier helmets with buckles on them.
- The helmet pig might be aMedium Pig wearing a helmet, since it is as large as a large pig when wearing the helmet.
- The Helmet Pig plush is the only Pig that is all beat up and in it's corpse.
- The helmet the Helmet Pig is wearing resembles a nazi german helmet used during World War II.
- In the Chrome version the Helmet Pig's helmet may be made of metal which may explain why the helmets are shiny and can be dented.
- If you look inside the Helmet of the Helmet Pig plush, you'll see that he doesn't have any ears.

Strategy
- Don't over estimate the power of the Helmet pig's helmet. Even though the helmet is stone, it is weak. The Red Bird can destroy him in just one hit.
- Using a Blue Bird also works, but make sure you split it before making contact.
- Any bird can destroy the Helmet pig.
- Wood that falls on him can kill him, but it requires more wood. Stone structures that fall on him can kill him instantly. Don't use ice. Ice is weak and will not work on helmet pigs.
