Crush the Castle from Armor Games was a smash hit online game! The first of many games in this series has managed to earn 27 Million plays on the Armor site alone! But, shortly after, Angry Birds came along. A game which was bought and installed 500 MILLION times!! It's considered one of the most successful, best selling games of all time.
The problem is, it pretty well replicated Crush the Castle beat-for-beat. So in this episode of Flashlight, I want to take a closer look at the development history of Crush the Castle and Angry Birds, and help shed some light on how these games came to be. The story takes a few unexpected turns, and I think this video paints a fascinating picture of of inspiration, and allows us to compare who really rip-off ed who, if anyone?
