They are considered the right-hand-men to the King Pig, and are the second strongest of all the Pigs in the game. They first appear at the end of World 2, where a single Mustache Pig appears as the main enemy of Theme 2-21. Following the defeat of Mr. Moustache (first Moustache Pig boss) , they are more commonly seen.

There have been 5 Mustache Pig bosses : Mr. Moustache (Finish World 2) Mounting Moustache (Finish World 7) Mason Moustache (Finish World 10) Clint Eastbacon (Finish World 13) Cave Conqueror (Finish World 16) and Ominous Oinker (Finish World 2 of Trick or Treat).
Trivia
- Mustache Pigs are also considered to be the most elderly of the Pigs due to their saggy eyes, white eyebrows, and the fact that their nostrils sweat when they're hurt. In the Google Chrome Version , they have brown eyebrows and they stick their tongue out when they are hurt (They share the tongue-sticking characteristic with the King Pig).
- Mustache Pigs are shaped differently than all other pigs in the game.
- In the Cinematic Trailer, a Mustache Pig is seen cooking eggs on a frying pan without cracking them open, suggesting that the pigs don't know how to cook, despite their greed for eggs.
