The Blue Birds (also known as the Triple Threat bird, Cyan Bird, Light Blue Bird, Splitter Bird, Glassjaw Bird, Blue Ice Bird, Trio Bird, Shotgun Bird or Glass Breaker Bird) are a species of Birds in the Angry Birds series. First debuting in Theme 1-10, these birds are the weakest of the eight, but have the unique ability to multiply into three identical copies to fly into the pigs and their buildings. (Click the screen if you're playing online, or if on the iProducts, touch with the tip of your finger to activate it's unique multiplying ability).

The bird can be used in two different ways. The first way is to multiply it when the player releases it to hit the targets in one time. The second way is to multiply it right before the bird crashes into the building, to either break through ice or to push buildings down. They are very good at destroying ice/glass blocks.

For the most critical damage to structures, tap the bird before hitting the structure, causing very critical damage, especially to ice.

The Blue bird is based upon the Red-cheeked Cordon Bleu. It is also classified as very small for size.

Trivia

• The Blue bird, is the second youngest of the group.
• The Blue Bird is the only bird that has no eyebrows.
• In some of the Angry Birds trailers, he looks way different compared to the original ones than the others in 2011 promos. An example of this can be seen below.
• The Blue Bird is a juvenile, as indicated by the Angry Birds Halloween comics (when the Mighty Eagle says to the blue bird triplets "no one listened to children back then either" during his story)
• In Wreck The Halls Short Movie, Three Blue Birds were Crying.
