    Space Birds by size

Space Characters are the Birds seen in Angry Birds Space. The first name that was known was "Lazer Bird" from the file name of images added to the Angry Birds Google+ page on February 17, 2012. The "Ice Cube Bird" was mentioned in passing by a Rovio employee at SXSW but could be merely colloquial. The true bird names were later revealed via AngryBirdsNest and The Daily.[1] Every bird (except the Space Eagles) resemble a different Marvel or DC Comics character.

    Super Red Bird

Super Red Bird is the classic Red Bird. When pulled through the wormhole into the new Space environment, he found himself outfitted with the Über Mask. The mask allows Red to see a view called "sling scope," showing him the best flight path to do the most damage. His mask resembles Wolverine and Batman. He also has the ability to use Infrared Vision by using his Uber Mask to target and lock on to pigs and unknown objects, even from a far distance (As seen in the Beginning Comic of Utopia). In the game, if red bird is near a pig in a gravitational force and the screen is tapped, the pig/s will get scared.

    Lightning Bird

Lightning Bird is the classic Blue Bird. They have the power to break ice (and triplicate as in the classic Angry Birds game). They are commonly placed after an Ice Bird. Their helmets resemble The Flash. Despite their great adventures in space, Lightning Bird often felt homesick.

    Fire Bomb Bird

Bomb is the classic Black Bird. His power to incinerate anything within a radius of his body is called "heat shock wave." His coat, skin colors and powers resemble Firestorm. If he stays out too long without hitting an object, he will explode automatically.

Fact: In the loading screen and cutscenes, Bomb has fire lit on his head feather. The fire is not lit on him during gameplay.

    Terence Bird

Terence Bird is the original Big Brother Bird, but now green in color instead of red like his smaller twin, the Red Bird. Terence is capable of immense destruction due to his size and girth. His new skin color and large size resembles the Hulk. However, unlike the original Big Brother Bird, he has the ability to scare multiple Bad Piggies from a far distance.

    Lazer Bird

Lazer Bird is the classic Yellow Bird. In the game, Lazer Bird's abilities are similar to Yellow Bird, with a slightly different control method. Instead of the player tapping the screen to increase speed, tapping now chooses a directional target. Laser Bird will turn at a sharp angle and accelerate toward the chosen target, ignoring gravity until hitting something. His goggles resemble those of Cyclops.

In the loading screen and for the plush, Lazer Bird has his cape. During the gameplay, however, he does not have the cape.

    Ice Bird

Ice Bird is an extraterrestrial companion to the Flock once they arrive in Space. He convinces the Flock to help him in his quest to recover the Eggsteroid. He is intent on saving his home planet from the Space Pigs, but Red is convinced he can help get them home. His power is to freeze enemies solid in an icy explosion. His powers resemble those of Iceman.

In the game, Ice Bird freezes an area upon impact. Ice Bird explodes a couple of seconds after impact with any piece of structure, and covers the surrounding blocks and piggies with ice, making the them brittle and easier to break. If the screen is not tapped, Ice Bird will hesitate for a few seconds, still turning surfaces it touches into ice; making the Ice Bird a technical variation of Bomb. The Ice Bird's explosion doesn't damage any regular blocks or piggies, but it will set off any explosive objects in range. Really, Ice Bird is kind of useless if you don't have the Blue Birds due to their ability to break ice.

    Atom Bird

The Orange Bird (aka Atom Bird) is a confirmed (previously rumoured) Space Bird that will be released in a future update of Angry Birds Space. His costume resembles that of Firestorm but his ability resembles Lagoon Boy. He may come in Utopia 4-11, but this is not confirmed (don't get this confused, he may also be in some other levels).

The first proof came when (or if) you downloaded Angry Birds Space for your PC with the first Utopia update, then opened the system file straight from your main disk drive (mainly Disk C). Try find the sprite sheet, and when you do you will have found the Orange Bird's Flash sheet

The second piece of evidence, also officially claimed by Rovio, is that the silhouette of the Orange Bird was shown on it's Facebook page on July 16th, 2012.

    Cyborg Bird

Nothing is known about the Cyborg Bird because it is coming soon. The only thing known about Cyborg Bird is that he is classic White Bird.

    Space Eagle

Little is known about the history or origins of the Space Eagle. The Space Eagles play a similar, but slightly different role than the Mighty Eagle. Space Eagles can be summoned using Sardine Cans, just like the Mighty Eagle. When the sardines are launched, a space warp will appear and the Space Eagle will do some damage to the level. The player then continues to play the level as normal with the remaining birds. An Eagle Highscore still appears.

But don’t worry, Space Eagles travel in flocks -- so if your first try doesn’t do the job, you can bring on another Space Eagle! Unlike the Mighty Eagle, there are no time restrictions on use, and you can use several per level. You can earn them through gameplay achievements, and they’re available as an in-app purchase on iOS and Android via the Android Market (Google Play). Space Eagles are also given to you every 24 hours.

Tip: When you get 100% Total Destruction on all the levels of an episode, 3 feathers will be presented in a bubble as a special item. Behind the feathers, or background of the bubble in technical terms, is a glowing color that signifies which episode you got 100% Total Destruction on. So far the glowing colors are: Pig Bang: Green, Cold Cuts: Turquoise, Fry Me to the Moon: Blue, Utopia: Unknown, and the Danger Zone: Red.

If you look in the birds game sprites on Angry Birds Space's files for PC, you can see the Space Eagle in the sprite sheet along with the other birds. This could mean that the Space Eagle might come to PC in the future, but this still isn't confirmed.

The Space Eagle somewhat resembles a raven or crow with it's purple plumage. It also has two plume feathers on top of it's head. The Space Eagles beak appears to be slightly curved, but thats to be expected. Space Eagles appear much larger than the Earth-going Mighty Eagle but are much weaker. Many people are not happy with this and wish that the Space Eagle be swapped with the Mighty Eagle; others just want the Space Eagle to be more powerful with no alteration to the Mighty Eagle.

    Space Egg

The mysterious egg is shown in several images for Angry Birds Space, appearing with the Flock. He has the appearance of a normal, white egg, but with an antenna. This appears to be a sentient egg, as with the Boy and Girl Eggs and the Umbrella egg from the Angry Birds Seasons: Cherry Blossom episode. It appears in level 3-10.

This Egg has appeared in the cutscenes in Fry Me to the Moon and Utopia and will hatch in the update in which the Atomic Bird (Orange) appesrs.

In addition to appearing in cutscenes and level 3-10, the Egg also appeared as a Special Item Sluble when players get 3 Stars on all the levels in Fry Me to the Moon.

    Space Pigs

The Space Pigs appear to look like Earth's Bad Piggies. How they came to be in Space or got their updated equipment is unknown at this time. It is known that the Space King used his UFO's grabbing claw to steal eggs which caused the Flock to follow the claw through the wormhole and end up trapped in the world of Space.

    • Small, Medium, and Large Pigs - Footsoldiers of the Space King
    • Helmet Pig AKA Major Pig - Wears a metal helmet and used to be seen guarding the Pig Fortress on Earth
    • Mustache Pig - The right hand pig of the Space King. He's the oldest of the Pigs. His first and latest appearance as a boss is on the episode Fry Me To The Moon, and level 3-10 as he floats along with the Space Egg he captured right next to him.
    • Space King - The King Pig, now in Space. Space King has a UFO with grabber claws and appears to be responsible for the Flock getting pulled through the wormhole into Space. It was the Space King's idea, while still the King Pig to steal eggs from the Birds in the first place. As Space King, he has some new goals, including stealing the Eggsteroid and continually feeding the Fat Pig. He first appears as a boss battle in level 1-30 in a UFO Tank and then in Cold Cuts level 2-30 in a UFO Spaceship.
    • Fat Pig - Fat Pig combs the Universe looking for cosmic food to continually increase his size. He is massive with spots on him similar to the Big Brother Bird. The description of the Fat Pig according to The Daily is: "As ravenous as he is disgusting". He also appears on the episode "Cold Cuts" title screen. His first appearance in game is in level 4-10 (Utopia) as a minor boss. He is smaller than he is in 2-20. Despite his extreme size, he is easily popped.
