Move to "Egg"
Hi. I'm proposing to move this page to simply "Egg". This is because of the following reasons:
- It is much simpler and shorter, and it's the title most people are going to type in the search bar.
- This title is better for linking in articles. Tell me, when the heck are we going to write "The Eggs" to link to the article? I always write "eggs" to link to the article. Instead, with simply "Egg" we can simply write "eggs" and call it a day, similar to "pigs" or "nest".
- Give me one single reason to why the word "Eggs" is capitalized when it's a common noun.
- I don't feel like the use of the article is necessary in the title. Maybe only as a redirect, but that's it.
And yes, I know that the page already exists as a redirect, but I'm trying to avoid using them. "King Pig (character)" is the exception, since, for the tenth time, I don't see the point of the " (character)" part in the title.
Depending on your thoughts on the change, write Support, Neutral or Oppose. And yes, I'll have to modify this page because it's more like messy gallery and useless trivia rather than actual information. DiegoUreta68 (talk) 23:22, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- I see how this could be a very good change, though "The Eggs" is way more used and iconic than just "egg". It's still a good idea, and I probably wouldn't mind if we moved the page to just "Egg". JaydonKing4K (talk) 23:36, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Well, the eggs are technically items, and I don't use articles on them (except for The Egg, which always uses it) nor do I write them in plural, unless they are always written in plural. I don't know about the others. DiegoUreta68 (talk) 23:39, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
