The Flock is the name for the core group of birds in the Angry Birds series. They are a group of birds who live on Piggy Island that fight the Bad Piggies, who continuously try to steal their eggs. The core flock leads the hundreds of other birds on the island. At least one member of the flock appears in Classic, Seasons, Rio, Friends, Space, Bad Piggies, Star Wars, Star Wars II,GO!, Epic, Stella, Transformers, POP!, Fight! and 2.

Original Flock

The Flock originally consisted of the following five birds:

• Red is the most responsible member. He is the leader of The Flock.
• Chuck is one of Red's best friends and is a restless, enthusiastic, wild canary.
• Jay, Jake, and Jim are the youngest, being triplets - and the most daring. They like to prank the rest of the flock.
• Bomb has a short temper and explodes when he loses it.
• Matilda is the most caring of all the birds. She acts motherly and cares for the Blues.

The Flock fought battles with the Pigs before any new members were added.

The "actual" flock consists of the original members and Terence, as claimed by Rovio. The other birds wander around Piggy Island (excluding Stella) and only appear when needed. (Example, Bubbles wanders looking for candy; Hal walks around camping and playing his banjo)

The Flock's currency is coconuts. (See, Angry Birds Comics Issue 4, the Bidding War)

Hal

In the course of the battles with the Pigs, the Birds encountered a green bird with a big beak named Hal, who was kidnapped by the Bad Piggies. The birds freed him and he was later able to help them defeat the Pigs, save the eggs and destroy a small Pig fortress. In gratitude, he was awarded three stars and inducted as a new member. The same thing happened with Terence, the Big Brother Bird, when the Pigs kidnapped the Flock, including Hal. Terence rescued Hal, then they rescued the rest of the Flock. He was the first new member of the flock. During his spare time, he wanders around Piggy Island playing his banjo.

Terence

Main article: The Big Setup

After several victories against the Pigs, the Flock's luck turned and they were kidnapped by the King Pig. This was witnessed by Terence. Terence set off to rescue The Flock. He first freed Hal, then defeated the Pigs and freed The Flock. Terence was awarded membership in The Flock and has been seen with them ever since.

Bubbles

With Terence's might and Hal's unique talent added to their ranks, The Flock was successful in repelling the Pigs' attempts at stealing the eggs. One Halloween, The Blues noticed an orange bird named Bubbles, who had been kidnapped by the Pigs. They set off to rescue him but found he was more than capable of rescuing himself. Bubbles inflated himself in the Pig's fort, therefore destroying it and making his way out. Bubbles has been seen on several adventures since and is presumed to be a full-time member of The Flock. During his spare time, he wanders around Piggy Island finding candy.

Stella

The Pink Bird joined the Flock in the Angry Birds Seasons episode Back to School, named Stella. She blows bubbles, which lift into the air, carrying anything trapped inside it. 

Tony

When Terence decided to visit his cousin Tony during the holiday season one year, he realized Tony could potentially be a huge help to the flock. This light blue bird briefly stops mid-air and drops straight down, destroying everything underneath him. Tony is currently the only member of the flock that does not live on Piggy Island.

Silver

Main article: Angry Birds 2

The Silver Bird is the newest playable bird in the Angry Birds 2. Just like most of the birds there, she is animated in toon style. Her ability consists of slamming to the ground vertically and cause an earthquake when in contact with a stone block.

Ice Bird

The Ice Bird is the new bird who lives in Space, He appears in Loading Screen, cutscenes and in game in Angry Birds Space. By using explosion, his animation in Classic style is used.

The Original Flock

In the course of the battles with the Pigs, The Flock has traveled to many different locations and environments, including the desert, underground caves, and beaches. The Pigs never rest in their quest to steal the eggs and the Flock often has to retrieve their eggs on Holidays and Birthday Parties.

At an indeterminate time, the Flock was captured as rare birds and taken to Rio, where they fought with the Rio Characters, including Blu, Jewel, and their friends against Nigel and Mauro. Matilda, Bomb, Terence, Hal, and Bubbles arrived after Red, Chuck, and the Blues, so it was possible they were not captured originally but made their way to Rio to rescue the team.

They enjoy arguing and especially playing devil's advocate. Being such the creative types, they can have a hard time focusing on tasks - especially when they feel tedious or routine. Yellow Bird	Chuck	Speeds up when the screen is tapped.	Chuck is a free spirit and prefers to operate without rules or routines. He longs for challenges and excitement and prefers to focus on the bigger picture. He can be a bit impulsive - while everyone else is still talking, he likes to get out and take action. Black Bird or Bomb Bird	Bomb	Explodes, Explodes electricity (Short Fuse only) when the screen is tapped or after impact.	Bomb is a doer. While other people get tied up with theories and rules, he's out there getting things done. Sociable and exciting, he loves being the center of attention and entertaining people with his antics. White Bird	Matilda	Drops an Egg Bomb when the screen is tapped, followed by her corpse flying upwards in a diagonal direction. (Can be used as an advantage when aimed correctly)	Matilda is calm, friendly, and sensitive. Her open-minded and accepting nature makes her easy to like, and her tend to play the peacemaker with her friends. Green Bird or Boomerang Bird	Hal	Spins back like a boomerang when the screen is tapped.	Understanding and sociable, Hal makes his voice heard but is also a great listener. Big Brother Bird or Big Red Bird	Terence	Easily demolishes structures, grunts when the screen is tapped.	Terence is the strong, silent type. Logical, level-headed, and rational, he has a keen analytical mind. His introspective nature can make him seem distant from others - but he, in turn, is sometimes baffled by how irrational and emotional others can be. Orange Bird	Bubbles	Inflates when the screen is tapped or after impact.	Bubbles is quiet but friendly, always happy to pitch in and help. His sunny outlook and loyal, considerate nature makes him a great friend. He prefers to focus on the bright side of life, so he can get overwhelmed by anything overly complicated or negative. Pink Bird	Stella	Traps objects in bubbles when the screen is tapped or after impact.	Stella's the star of the show and the bird all the others look up to. She may look cute and cuddly, but don't be fooled - if you push her too far, she'll soon reveal her blazing-hot temper! that's just how she rolls, sweet on the outside, and fierce on the inside.
