The Angry Birds, also referred to as the flock, are a group that appears in the Angry Birds series. They are a flock of exceptionally rare[2][1] birds inhabiting Piggy Island.

The Angry Birds group was formed sometime before the original Angry Birds. Before its formation, its members inhabited Bird Island, though they moved to Piggy Island for some reason. Their main objective is to protect the eggs they found somewhere on the island, as they think that they will be important for their species' survival.[1] The Angry Birds' main opposition is the Piggy kingdom, whose leader, King Pig, has tried countless times to steal the eggs to cook them and eat them.

    Past

The Angry Birds group was formed at some point in the past by a flock of birds native to Bird Island, who, for some reason, moved to Piggy Island. While its earliest actions remain unknown, it is known that they, sometime ago, found three eggs somewhere on Piggy Island. They have been taking care of them since then, as they thought that they would be essential to avoid their species' extintion.[1]

    Angry Birds

In the original Angry Birds, the Angry Birds discovered that their eggs were stolen. One of its members, Chuck, saw some Minion Pigs and King Pig with the eggs. As such, they went after the pigs to retrieve the eggs. While they managed to get their eggs back, the pigs did not give up, as they would steal them from time to time again, though these attempts failed.

    Angry Birds Rio

In Angry Birds Rio, the Angry Birds were taking care of the eggs as usual, until a helicopter caught them and took them to a den in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The responsible of the kidnapping, a cockatoo smuggler named Nigel, introduces himself and reveals that he had caught the birds to sell them in exchange of one hundred thousand dollars, as they were part of an "exceptionally rare species".[2] The birds then spot all the other caged birds Nigel was planning to sell, including two macaws- one male named Blu, and one female named Jewel. Furious, the Angry Birds free themselves from their cages and liberate the other birds. It then turned out that Blu and Jewel were united by handcuffs, and the two join the flock. The Angry Birds escape to a jungle as Nigel sent his marmosets to go after them.

At the jungle, the Angry Birds pass through the hordes of marmosets and Nigel himself, until they met Rafael, an old friend of Blu, who guided them to a beach, where Luiz, a bulldog who was an expert with chainsaws. After defeating more hordes of marmosets on the beach, they found Luiz, who took the handcuffs out of Blu and Jewel. However, Nigel suddenly came in, caught Jewel, and took her with himself away while the Angry Birds and Blu went after them. During a night, the flock snuck into a carnival, where they fought and defeated Mauro, the leader of the marmosets, and spotted Jewel and many other kidnapped birds hidden in a chicken-like vehicle. As Blu was about to rescue his friend, Nigel caught him and left the carnaval in the vehicle with Blu and the other birds while the Angry Birds went after them.

Eventually, the Angry Birds ended up in an airport, where they freed some caged birds and went aboard Nigel's airplane. There, the flock had a final showdown against Nigel, who, after being defeated, tried to escape, only to crash onto one of the plane's wings, damaging it, while he fell and the birds left. Meanwhile, the Angry Birds managed to control the plane to go to Piggy Island, where Foreman Pig and a Minion Pig were trying to steal the eggs until they saw the plane. After crash-landing near their nest, the Angry Birds were relieved that their eggs were safe as the two pigs looked at them behind a bush.

Some time later, the Angry Birds recieved a postcard from Blu and Jewel, inviting them to go to Rio de Janeiro again. Accepting the invitation, the Angry Birds put themselves inside a box that was supposed to be sent to the city. For their frustration however, they ended up in London, Athens, a snowy area, Asia, Pig City, a forest, and then the Moon. From there, the Angry Birds entered the earth's atmosphere, and, for their relief, they ended up in the outsides of Rio de Janeiro, where they saw a firework display.[3] However, they soon after had to deal with the remaining hordes of marmosets.

Later, the Angry Birds ended up in a harbor, where they freed some caged birds, eventually commiting the error of liberating Nigel himself, who started to laugh maniacally. At the Blossom River, the flock defeated Nigel and threw him to the waters. Later, they dealt with the remaining hordes of marmosets with the aid of Blu and other macaws.

    Angry Birds Space

In Angry Birds Space, the Angry Birds were taking care of the eggs during a hot day, until they say a wormhole appear in the sky. From it, an extraterrestrial bird called Ice Bird crash-landed near the flock's nest with an eggsteroid of his. After being unconscious for a few seconds, Ice Bird got back his senses and grabbed his eggsteroid, acting hostile towards the Angry Birds, who got started by the alien's actions. Suddenly, a laughter was heard, panicking the Angry Birds. Then, a large claw appeared from the wormhole and grabbed a piece of chunk with Ice Bird's eggsteroid and the Angry Birds' eggs. Ice Bird used the birds' slingshot to pass through the wormhole, and so did the Angry Birds when they realized that their eggs had been stolen as well.

Ending up in space with new transformations, the Angry Birds defeated the hordes of Space Pigs, eventually having a fight against King Pig, who was defeated. However, King Pig triggered a escape system that summoned a wormhole, allowing him to escape. The Angry Birds followed him and ended up in a cold region of the galaxy, where they rescued Ice Bird after being knocked down by King Pig. After rescuing Ice Bird's eggsteroid, the Angry Birds celebrated while Ice Bird saw Foreman Pig stealing one of the flock's eggs, forcing them to go after the mustachioed pig. After defeating Foreman Pig and retrieving the egg, the Angry Birds saw a Fat Pig eat an eggsteroid in a region of the galaxy made of sweets. The flock eventually defeated the Fat Pig and made him spit the eggsteroid. Later, the Angry Birds defeated more hordes of pigs in a hot region of space.

Some time later, King Pig appeared with his submarine and took one eggsteroid with him. Aware of this, the Angry Birds followed him and destroyed his submarine, allowing them to get the eggsteroid while King Pig escaped. Then however, the eggsteroid was stolen by a three-eyed pig, who was eventually defeated. Later, the flock spotted a meteor shower, which was caused by King Pig making disruptions on another region of the galaxy. After some battles, the Angry Birds defeated him.

A while following these events, the Angry Birds saw some purple smoke covering part of the galaxy. When they checked, they saw Hektor Porko with some eggsteroids. Later, the flock ended up in the Mirror World. Some time afterwards, they had a battle against King Pig, who was defeated once again. Later, the Angry Birds followed the Space Pigs through a wormhole to the Solar System, where they stopped them from stealing all the eggs in the planetary system.

    Bad Piggies

In Bad Piggies, the Angry Birds' eggs were stolen by Ross. In response, the flock had many failed attempts to stop Ross. However, it turned out that the eggs were actually egg-shaped rocks painted white by Jay, Jake, and Jim.
