There are currently twelve different styles of birds, shown in the order they are first presented to the player.

Each bird has a different ability, such as being able to come back like a boomerang, explode, or split into three. These abilities are activated by tapping the screen while the bird is flying, and can be used strategically to complete the level. There is also the Mighty Eagle, which can be used to automatically complete any level, but can only be used once an hour on non-completed levels.

    Pigs

The bird's nemesis are a colossal group of pigs, and much like the birds, the pigs are also provided in different varieties, shown below:

    Angry Birds Levels

Full Article: List of Angry Birds levels In all versions of Angry Birds combined, there are a grand total of 364 levels in Angry Birds, 303 in the original game (v2.0.0), and 242 in Angry Birds Seasons (v2.1.0). These levels are grouped into "episodes", which consist of one to three worlds each.

    Aim of the Game

The aim of the game is to fire the bird in the slingshot to towards the Pigs who apparently stole their eggs. Move the slingshot backwards to make the bird fly forwards to the pig. Make sure you aim it correctly. If you also touch the bird again while it is moving, the bird will do a special trick, besides the Red Bird and the Big Brother Bird which just yell out their "battle cry".

    1. Poached Eggs - 63 levels, the pigs simply steal the eggs and attempt to escape. Contains 63 levels, which must be conquered before any of the other episodes may be played.
    2. Mighty Hoax - 42 levels, the pigs steal the eggs and distract the birds with a cardboard cut-out.
    3. Danger Above - 45 levels, the pigs steal the eggs and escape on board a number of makeshift aircraft.
    4. The Big Setup - 45 levels, the pigs imprison the birds in a cage to prevent their defeat after stealing the eggs. However, Big Brother Bird is still loose and fights back.
    5. Ham 'Em High - 48 levels, the pigs, armed with a lasso (even without arms) and cowboy gear, steal the eggs out of the bird's nest, and escape to the Wild West. (Note: Only 45 levels in Mac and PC versions.)
    6. Mine and Dine - 45 levels, the pigs steal the eggs and hide underground in an abandoned mine shaft where the birds must stop them.
    7. Birdday Party - 15 levels, Birthday themed ref: http://www.rovio.com/en/news/blog/109/happy-birdday
